How far in advanced should I plan my destination wedding?
There are typically two phases to booking a Destination Wedding! One- Travel Planning and Two- Planning the big day! It’s important to give your guests time to make arrangements so We generally recommend a year in advanced pending rates are available to be booked.
When it comes to planning, couples should seek inspiration around the 8 month mark, and your destination Wedding consultant will be there to guide you through that process and provide you will all the time lines and paperwork to ensure you are on track. Our team will coordinate your date with your preferred resort and then introduce you to your on site planner. Let the planning begin!
What is the difference between a Symbolic and a legal Ceremony?
If you chose to have a legal wedding in destination your marriage will be legally recognized once you return home. Your consultants will help you understand what’s required and the fees for your legal ceremony which can vary depending on which location you chose.
Symbolic ceremonies are easy to arrange and can sometimes be very cost effective. This is where a bride and groom may legalize their wedding at home prior to their ceremony in destination. It can be performed to look exactly like a legal ceremony and is one of the more common choices.
What is the best way to share my destination wedding details with my friends and family?
We’ve seen a shift from sending traditional hard copy wedding details to sharing these details via email or a wedding website. Having an electronic copy of all the wedding details is a more accessible option, especially for destination weddings, that will allow your guests to have all of the necessary information on hand at all times. Your guests will have one main contact which will make their planning as stress free as possible. We also provide our clients with their own Landing page with password access for their guests so they can see all the resort information, pricing, and request to make a payment or add into the group.
